THE WORD MINISTRIES OF RUSSIA WELCOMES YOU
THE WORD MINISTRIES OF RUSSIA AT A GLANCE
To introduce the Gospel to all nations. To strengthen the Saints in their confidence in God's word. To equip God's people to proclaim God's word effectively.
OUR HISTORY AND OUR WORK
The Word Ministries of Russia began in 1990 in the far eastern part of Russia in the region of Khabarovsk. Our original goal was to supply humanitarian aid to this region because of the seriously poor economic situation. At this time we were based out of Japan. We were very blessed to have many friends and contacts that were able to supply us with medical equipment, antibiotics and other vital supplies. In the beginning of our endeavor we had zero experience working within this former communist country so we kept our main focus on humanitarian aid until we were able to feel out how best to proclaim the Gospel openly and boldly. In a very short period of time we were shocked to see that the spirit of the Lord had gone before us to prepare the hearts and minds of the people of Russia. We were overwhelmed by their desire for the word in it's entirety. From Genesis to Revelations the people of Russia were ready for God's word and we were blessed to be the messengers.
Over the last 30 years we have been growing and developing close ties with the emerging evangelical churches in the Russian Far East. Our outreach ministries take many forms in order to reach the most with God's love and His word. We are blessed to be involved in outreach and or support within prison ministries, orphanages, children's hospitals, summer bible camps, gospel material distribution and the building of a rehabilitation center. We are dedicated to fulfillment of Mark 16:15, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation", and Matthew 25:36 "I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me".
